WW Summer Party
On July 21, 2022, the Department of Materials Science invited to its traditional summer party.
The introductory greetings came from the department spokesman Prof. Dr. Erdmann Spiecker and from the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Andreas Fröba.
The latter addressed his words especially to the freshly habilitated PD Dr.-Ing. habil. Tobias Fey from the Chair of Glass and Ceramics (FAU) and PD Dr. habil. Paolo Moretti from the Chair of Materials Simulation (FAU), who not only gave the keynote speeches during the summer festival, but also their habilitation lectures.
His wishes for them were:
may they continue the successes of previous scientists at the TF,
not to forget about the exciting research and teaching,
consider research and teaching as one
and continue to diligently gain research experience.
Afterwards, this year’s study awards were presented.
Tobias Wagner and Elisabeth Keck from the bachelor’s degree program in MWT and Anna Höfling, Benno Schwemmer, Lukas Petersen and Nicolas Kennedy from the bachelor’s degree program in NT received this year’s Semikron study prize, which was representatively awarded by Clemens Vennebusch, also a graduate of the MWT program at FAU.
The Brose prizes were awarded by Prof. Peter Weidinger to Lukas Amon and Sebastian Niedermeyer for their excellent performance in the master’s program. The prize money is earmarked for a planned stay abroad.
