Colombian engineering students visit the department
From April 4th till 6th 2019, a delegation of students from Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, Colombia, visited the FAU Department of Materials Science and Engineering (WW) with sponsorship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The visit was coordinated by Prof. Aldo R. Boccaccini (head of the Institute of Biomaterials (WW7), and chair of the department) and hosted by Prof. Kyle Webber (Institute of Glass and Ceramics, WW3) as well as Dr. Liliana Liverani (WW7).
A total of 15 students of the mechanical engineering disciplines took part in this study trip.
The program included presentations by professors and researchers from the different Institutes of the WW Department, visits to laboratory facilities and a presentation by the Bavarian University Centre for Latin America (BayLat). The students benefited from academic presentations and technical discussions on their topics of interest.
