Students from Argentina visit the Department of Materials Science and Engineering
From September 19th until 20th 2018, Professor Aldo R. Boccaccini (Head of the Institute of Biomaterials (WW7) and Chair of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering), hosted a delegation of engineering students from Argentina, with sponsorship of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Sixteen students of materials science and engineering and mechanical engineering from different Argentinean universities participated in this study trip, which was coordinated by Prof. Agustín Sisamon from National University of Mar del Plata (UNMDP). The students attended presentations by academic staff members of the different chairs of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and visited laboratories of all institutes.
Further stations of the study trip include visits to the University of Saarland and to the Technical University of Dresden. Moreover, the visiting students will attend the Congress Materials Science and Engineering (MSE 2018) in Darmstadt, 26th – 28th of September 2018, of which Argentina is the partner country. The respective part of the MSE 2018 programme is coordinated by Prof. Boccaccini.
